If you have read "David's mark" you know what this is all about.
A very dear and close friend of mine (she is in her 70's) read "David's mark" and was moved to start a long search for this Ken Doll. It is a Ken Doll from 1968 and the head was REALLY detached when she found it (like in the book) but I do not believe the head is a 1968 head. Of course my Ken Doll would have been a model from 1970-1972 as it was decapitated in early 1973.
When she brought it to the house and I saw the wrapper I knew right away what it was and started to cry. After some time I regained myself and opened it. I have kept it wrapped up and sitting on a book shelf in my office.
It really surprised me that she spent so much of her time searching for it, as in the book I am still waiting since 1973.
It was a very heartwarming and touching thing she did.
