I have an Acer laptop and its ok, well sort of. Since the day I bought it my cursor oikes to jump around in a Word document sometimes it will highlight a bunch of text and delete it. Now before you guess malware, no. I have 5 IT degrees, ran every malware seeking program and nothing. So I took off the keyboard seeking answers. I learned that I have a presdure pad keyboard, no moving parts. I explained my delima to my IT son and he said that the company he works for all their laptops have the same problems. Here's the why. Any pressure put on the top of the laptop anywhere near the keyboard will out pressure on the key oad and cause keys to press at radom. So why important? Well on my first 2 novels after I got them back from the Editor I added some bits, that addition caused deletions. I was re-reading David's mark getting ready for some possible promotion when I came across a few strangly worded areas. Mind you they are few, nevertheless they exist. So 1 day every day I will re-read 1 chapter, correct and when done reupload. I'll do likewise with The Boy In The Wood. The context will not alter, just the few errors. So all this time I thought I was nuts when in fact my laptop made by Acer is poorly designed.
