Well again your story took a turn for the 6th degree mark. However we may be down to 1 degree. I lived in Drumright (Called Drite in "David's mark") in 1975/76 early. If that time frame was the same time you first moved there, then you would have gone to school with my sister. You and her should have been in the same grade. It really spooked me to see that in your book. I wanted to call my sister but refrained, she is having issues with 'drugs'.
Now to Casa Bonita. When I was 6 right after my father attempted to murder my mother my mother and "Cowboy" took me and my sisters there. I never doubted my memories of the inside what so ever, in fact I have never doubted my memories at all. But when I read your account of Casa Bonita it surprised me just how spot on I had remembered, here are the two accounts. ----------- My account of Casa Bonita from the book "David's mark" "I personally have only one memory of `Cowboy' having direct interaction with me. It was after dad left and he took my mom, me and my sisters to a very nice Mexican restaurant called "Casa Bonita". Inside were waterfalls, caves, and tunnels it was a very beautiful place. As we were walking in I realized I had forgotten to wear shoes. I never liked to wear anything on my feet so I never gave it a second thought when we left the house. `Cowboy' did not miss a beat. He put his arm around my shoulder and pulled me forward and to him and simply said..." ------------- Taylor Fulks account of the same restaurant. " Casa Bonita, restaurant. The Mexican restaurant was a carnival-like beacon in the dark skyline on the outskirts of Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was as large as a Wal-Mart and similarly attached to the end of the strip mall that was off the beaten path. The restaurant had two stories of caves, alcoves, and caverns, all with tables for large parties, or intimate booths for two." ------------- Of course all this proves is that two people eating at the same place have accurate memories. But it does go a step further, it checked my memory and proved it correct, as it would yours. The name Steve Burgen I know. I can't be 100% positive but it may be from Drumright playing Oilton or Okmulgee. My older sister went steady with boys who were jocks etc. But that name is implanted in my memory and associated with my older sister.
