I had posted earlier the facts regarding the John Denver rumor about JD asking JW's to leave his concerts, but I had left out some important information. As part of the story people add that JD appeared on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and Carson asked about it and then asked JD to stand and leave. This part is also false. On this site you can search the contents of every episode. It appears John Denver appeared on the show 8 times. Consider would Carson have asked JD to stand and leave and then JD come back time after time? You can watch JD on Carson on YouTube.

So if you are one that continues to spread the false rumor about John Denver use this self-check list.

Ask Yourself

1) Was I present at any concert of John Denver's where he supposedly said this?
2) Do I personally know 2 eye witnesses that were present at a concert where JD supposedly have said this?
3) Have I seen actual un-altered video footage of a concert or Carson show where this was supposed to have occurred?

You have answered NO to all 3 questions, now ask yourself
Why am I spreading an unfounded rumor that I have no facts about?
Then consider the impact it has on you being truthful, trustworthy and a reliable source of information.
