Info I have learned. Aden Wimpy lived in Monroe Co TN (heart of Cherokee Nation) 1830. That is about 6 years before the move and the Trail of Tears started in 1837 or 38. He had a son Albert Wimpy who would have been about 16 when forced to march West. Then nothing for years. In 1880 on what was Cherokee land in Missouri (I saw was because the Civil War caused another movement) Albert Wimpy names is recorded as dead. His son, my great-grandfather, shows up in Arkansas on Cherokee lands in 1880 then he moved to Okmulgee Co Oklahoma the seat of the Creek Nation. However my great aunt who wrote my family tree in 1974 dispised the Cherokee and she has omitted as much as she could and has attempted to write out Willis Cherokee bloodline. I have contacted both the Cherokee council and Chickamauga Council. No reply yet.
