One day, perhaps in late March nineteen seventy five, Jason tossed all the furniture on the second floor out of the window. Then he perched himself on the eve of the highest part of the roof, and there he sat. Doug tried everything he could to get Jason down, but he was unable to climb that step of a pitch, so Jason sat, crouched like a Gargoyle on the edge of an ancient church. Then suddenly and without any warning he launched himself off the roof of the third story house to land safely on one of the mattresses he tossed out of the window.
