11/25 Interview Get's Closer

11/22/2014

The http://www.herald-citizen.com/ newspaper interviewed me on Thursday for my upcoming interview for the national male abuse awareness week. I will be interviewed on November 25th at 7pm CST 8 EST, tune in here http://www.blogtalkradio.com/bill-murray two others will also be interviewed and I hope it helps. IN my adult life I have learned that many failed to believe just how badly some children are treated. They say the words "Oh I know it happens" but when told of accounts they say "I just can't believe that." If not for my wife I would never understand this paradox. She explained that people are aware that it happens but when told of an account it is so difficult to believe they it is easier to say "I don't believe it."
People are aware but can't process.
Like listening but not hearing.
I do not believe it will be stopped, and in fact I believe child abuse will get worse. I believe it will become "accepted". Why? I believe that people would rather see it accepted as a way to "protect" then to have it hidden. The logical of mankind is very distorted, they simply can't fix the problems facing humankind. They fail to see the root of the problems. But even if one child is given a chance...
I often wonder what my life would have been if given a chance.

#Acer #Aspire #Laptop #Keyboard, Fixed W/issues

11/20/2014

Okay, some time back I bought an Acer Aspire laptop, it came w/Win8. For Win8 I hated it, but tried to accept. However my cursor would jump around when typing, almost as if possessed.  It was not malware. So I bought Win7 thinking it was the Win8 driver. But the issue still existed. The driver for this laptop is the same from Vista to Win8.1. I was ready to install Ubuntu but opted to check Acers site for a driver update.  I was seeking a BIOS update since the boot options were on a flash & not on the HDD. Sure enough Acer had a BIOS update. I wanted the BIOS update because at MS request OEM's were locking down the BIOS to prevent the removal of Win8 or duel booting. I flashed the BIOS & it restored options to easily allow users to install what they want, the flash also fixed my keyboard. Why? The Aspire I have has a backlit keyboard and I always suspected that to be the issue, the backlight is a pad under the keyboard that rest on magnets.  I figured the pad was getting warm and shorting out. I took the thing apart several times and realized I was right and considered leaving the power ribbon to the backlight disconnected, but never did. The BIOS update disabled the backlight on the keyboard and my keyboard works perfect. So I am once again happy with my laptop.

I read this book with great interest, and aside from his faith in evolution (I skipped those parts) he presents some really good points. (I have a quote on my white board at home I will post tomorrow). If you enjoy any science of physics and the concept of time you will enjoy this book. I have several placed marked in it that I ofter quote from.

#Schermerhorn At Nashville Symphony My Date My Wife 26 Years Together

11/9/2014

Nashville Symphony
On November 7th 2014 my wife and I had the privilege to attend a performance of the Nashville Symphony. The 1st piece was called Natasha, and it was difficult to listen to. But then they played Mozart Symphony #25, it was beautiful.
Cj (my wife) has listened to Classical all the time we’ve been married, I love it and our boys also grew up with it in the house and now listen to it as adults. But Cj never could enjoy Classical. When we went to the Symphony she REALLY enjoyed Mozart.
The architecture of the building is unbelievable. The small chandler lighting reminded me of planetary systems, and the larger globes reminded me of a sun being held in place by a fold in gravity. The lighting was striking. The columns had a 4/2 ratio. Four round and a square at each end. Two round at the ends. And marble was everywhere. The corners had an internal rounded cut, so it was gapped but there were no pointed corners. It was lovely. I opted not to take a camera of any kind. In a study done earlier this year, if you are aware that you have a camera and use it your mind will NOT record your event as a memory. In today’s world our mind has accepted that the camera is our memory. So if you want to be in the moment of a special event forgo the camera. If you must take a few photos, limit them and make the camera hard to get to.
Our night started with a trip to O’Charlies in Cookeville. I got the fish (it was okay, cod is not on my palate) Cj got a blue cheese chicken salad. Blue cheese YUCK!. We had some really nice conversation. Then headed to Nashville. The directions to the Nashville Symphony takes you down Broadway, BAD idea on a Friday night. Deamonburad is faster, direct and takes you right to parking. They need to change that.
I really suggest the Nashville Symphony to anyone who appreciates music. If I could afford it (buy my books) I would really go back again and again. Although we sat in the popper section, we both thoroughly enjoyed it.
Final thoughts: Thanks to the entire Nashville Symphony staff, the musicians, and the conductor. You all did a fantastic job.

#Interstellar ~ The Movie ~ The Relationship Between SpaceTime & Love ~ My Review *****

11/9/2014

Interstellar
Last night (Saturday November 8th 2014) me, my wife and son went and saw Interstellar. So here is my review.
Plot:
As a black hold captures every fabric of Spacetime, the plot sucks you in within seconds. It does take about 30 minutes to start capturing enough of the plot to start tying things together. But it is not a long boring 30 minutes, your mind is 100% engaged. I was intrigued from the beginning trying to understand what was happening, and why. The movie never explains why things went wrong on the Earth, but that is NOT the plot point. The viewer must accept that something happened and move on. I was quickly absorbed into the plot. As Spacetime is in theory explained to fold upon itself (wormhole) the plot folds several times upon itself. Because of that if your understanding of Spacetime, and basic physics is limited you will fail to understand the relationship of the folding of the plot. This is NOT a basic plot movie, this requires the viewer to use their brain and THINK as the movie moves along. My son said this movie was right up my alley. The plot takes into account Quantum Mechanics, Quantum Physics, Einstein’s Relativity (it’s not a theory anymore folks) time dilation, and other theoretical sciences. It’s not to say it can’t be enjoyed, but I believe that some of the movie will be lost on those who do not understand the basics of the above sciences. Me since I understand the basics of them I was engrossed, I was captured like the black hole that becomes the center of the movie. With my limited understanding of the above sciences, I felt they were spot on with the explanations. Of course the 4th dimension (the ability to move along time) is not possible and the point of the movie is the 5th dimension. No one can say if the 5th dimension as it is presented in the movie is not possible. Folks at its heart this is a love story.
Characters:
Within seconds I was involved with the characters. I WAS a part of the family, I was there with them, I was there fighting for them. The character development was so in-depth and rich; I was the father, the son and the daughter. I felt many times as if I was in the bedroom pushing the books. I wanted so much for the daughter to get it, to understand what her ghost was (not a real ghost). This movie really made gave me that separation from reality and took me in. I will comment on the dialog here as well. The dialog was NOT flat. The words were words that you and I would have spoken. They were easily our words.
Final Thoughts:
This is easily a 5 star rating movie. No violence (can you believe it) no sex (can you believe it) and it was very well written. The movie is heavy with Quantum science, so it is a movie for those who love science, and at the same time that the movie about Hawking is to be released, two good movies at the same time, it’s about time. The space shots were outstanding, when they show Saturn backlit by the sun it took my breath away, I was really impressed. Overall with my understanding of Quantum science I thought it was spot on, there were some theoretical points, but all science related to Quantum Mechanics has theoretical points. I was very impressed with the accuracy of Time Dilation. I have attempted to explain Time Dilation to some of my friends using a person in front of a person and the .08S dilation of Spacetime between them, but…well it’s not that they don’t understand they can’t accept that we can’t be in the same fabric of Time as the same time. I have also attempted to explain time dilation by placing a clock by the bed and one away and over the course of a month check the time difference (not a plug in digital). But fear grips them because many people believe that time is fixed and can’t be altered in any way. By hey time and space are the intertwined, can’t tear one from the other. So the movie got Time Dilation RIGHT. I was so impressed with the science.
Yes I will buy the Blu-Ray and watch it over and over and over. I will dissect it and analyze it and break down the science.
I really enjoyed this movie and it is about time a movie with real science was made.

@TaylorTfulks20 Casa Bonita

Well again your story took a turn for the 6th degree mark. However we may be down to 1 degree. I lived in Drumright (Called Drite in "David's mark") in 1975/76 early. If that time frame was the same time you first moved there, then you would have gone to school with my sister. You and her should have been in the same grade. It really spooked me to see that in your book. I wanted to call my sister but refrained, she is having issues with 'drugs'.

Now to Casa Bonita. When I was 6 right after my father attempted to murder my mother my mother and "Cowboy" took me and my sisters there. I never doubted my memories of the inside what so ever, in fact I have never doubted my memories at all. But when I read your account of Casa Bonita it surprised me just how spot on I had remembered, here are the two accounts.
-----------
My account of Casa Bonita from the book "David's mark"

"I personally have only one memory of `Cowboy' having direct
interaction with me. It was after dad left and he took my mom, me
and my sisters to a very nice Mexican restaurant called "Casa Bonita".
Inside were waterfalls, caves, and tunnels it was a very beautiful place.
As we were walking in I realized I had forgotten to wear shoes. I
never liked to wear anything on my feet so I never gave it a second
thought when we left the house. `Cowboy' did not miss a beat. He
put his arm around my shoulder and pulled me forward and to him
and simply said..."
-------------
Taylor Fulks account of the same restaurant.

"
Casa Bonita, restaurant. The Mexican restaurant was a carnival-like beacon in the dark skyline on the outskirts of Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was as large as a Wal-Mart and similarly attached to the end of the strip mall that was off the beaten path. The restaurant had two stories of caves, alcoves, and caverns, all with tables for large parties, or intimate booths for two."
-------------
Of course all this proves is that two people eating at the same place have accurate memories. But it does go a step further, it checked my memory and proved it correct, as it would yours.

The name Steve Burgen I know. I can't be 100% positive but it may be from Drumright playing Oilton or Okmulgee. My older sister went steady with boys who were jocks etc. But that name is implanted in my memory and associated with my older sister.
