My project is complete; so I will resume work on my book tomorrow. Crazy this think about time. Never enough and so easy to waste.

First it was NOT me. But D. M. Pulley for "The Dead Key" Now here is the weird part (maybe part of the mystery) earlier I bought a copy (it's on my tablet) but now it is only pre-order. I have yet to start reading it. So as Kahn said to Kirk, I "acknowledge" the better writer. I entered and was dropped early. But "The Dead Key" sounds like a good read and I'll give it a go and post my own review here. As most readers know I am honest and if I ain't got nothin' good to say I won't. So you know how weird this is here is the link I bought my copy from.
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JOU30OK/ref=pe_385040_117923520_TE_M1T1DP Cue Twilight Zone music please. The new book has a slight delay in writing. I am currently involved in a 2 week volunteer effort. The project is going great and is on track. I will be abel to spend time on it this week however.
Went to see Dawn of the Rise of the Planet of The Apes. So I'm watching and enjoying and we learn early on it is 10 years from were the last movie left off. Okay. So then we see the leader of the humans using a battery powered megaphone.
10 years? Rechargeable batteries can only be recharged so many times and after 10 years cell damage would occur. But regular batteries are worse. The megaphones takes C or D, either one would burst before 10 years. After that scene I could not get that out of my mind, and so I lost part of the enjoyment of a movie. Sure it is a very small thing and some can easily overlook it, but if the viewer is to believe in what we watch they have to hold true to science, at least to some degree. I was disappointed because of this one single minor little bitty flaw. Okay granted there will be ones to step forward with an explanation for the batteries. But fact is, the science does not support them lasting that long. "David's mark" IS about my life, but only the first 9 years and it focuses on ages 6-9. So there IS real life violence in the book. Chapter 7 is the heaviest and toughest in the book. But keep in mind that the events did occur although I presented them out of sequence. So although the book contains no sex, religion, politics, or supernatural stuff it does contain some violence.
"The Boy in The Wood" is about a fall from the world of privilege for a young couple. It focuses on the year 2007 and then 2013-2014. The antagonist of the story can't accept her fall from rubbing noses with the rich and it causes her to behave in a manner that is unacceptable.
Chapter 11 is the pivotal point in the book; here we learn just what Kathy has done that is evil. But chapter 11 does NOT go into graphic detail. The reader is told some of what Kathy does, but much is discerned by the reader. So if you have concerns about chapter 11 or the phrase "evil" "darkness" etc, remember these are from the Book sales are depressing and sad. Trying to motivate buyers with the slogan #HITTHE50 in sales for the month of July. Thus far few sales. Now perhaps it is the subject matter, people are afraid of my books. Or maybe it is all the other indie authors are like me, worried about buying others books because we feel it may put a self imposed demand on us.
Some considerations about my books. First "The Boy in The Wood" The book has no curse words; No intense violence; No sex (I make no apologies. Sex belongs in the bedroom between married couples) No supernatural scary stuff; No political stuff; No religious stuff. So what it is about? Just really weird or crazy people. In this case a woman who looses touch with reality. Some have expressed concern with chapter 11. It does mention things that can happen in trafficking, but NOT in detail or graphicness. (NOT A WORD BUT I USED IT). So give it a go. http://www.amazon.com/Boy-Wood-DeWayne-Watts-ebook/dp/B00HZ4D3PS/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&sr=8-1&qid=1395933123 Now for "David's mark" Again; The book has no curse words; No intense violence; No sex (I make no apologies. Sex belongs in the bedroom between married couples) No supernatural scary stuff; No political stuff; No religious stuff. Chapter 7 does contain some violence, but it is contextual, in other words it happened. http://www.amazon.com/Davids-mark-DeWayne-Watts-ebook/dp/B00IH0P8A2/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&sr=8-2&qid=1395933123 |
